We have developed the following information to help you determine an approximate cost of tree and stump removal. Tree removal price guidelines are general only and may be influenced by a number of factors including; accessibility, falling area, or unknown issues.

We provide tree removal services to residential and commercial customers.

$100 MINIMUM CHARGE FOR ANY WORK DONE + 5% GST.
For minimum charges, it''s $100 for the north of Calgary, $150 for the south, $200 for out of town, and $300 for distant communities like Bragg Creek, Cochrane, Okotoks and Strathmore. We can do work in Irricana, Crossfield and the like, but minimums are at least $500. These are NOT surcharges, only minimums.

Tree Removal
- includes complete removal of the tree down to the stump. The firewood is cut to fireplace lengths and piled onsite to be left for the client or picked up by us within 3 days. We will clean any roof gutters near the tree in question for free, if they contain debris from the tree. To get started, take a tape measure and pull it across (not around) the thickest part of the trunk of the tree a foot from the ground, and eyeball the thickness of the trunk of the tree on the tape from side to side, in inches, and apply the figure (this is the diameter) to the rate guides below.

	At this one foot high point on the trunk, pull the tape across the trunk like so...
	Now eyeball the width of the trunk on the tape from side to side like so...
	This one turns out to be 20" wide. Now, plug the measurement you came up with into the following rate guide. If it is a conifer, like the one in these photos, 20" translates to a $500 tree removal. See further below for stump removal pricing instructions.

• Conifer (evergreen or Christmas tree):
  Measurement is the diameter (not circumference) of the trunk in inches measured one foot from the ground at its widest point.
  • $20 per inch for trunks less than 15" in diameter
  • $25 per inch for trunks 15" - 25" in diameter + GST
  • $30 per inch for trunks over 25 " in diameter
• Deciduous (leaf tree)*:
  Measurement is the diameter (not circumference) of the trunk in inches measured one foot from the ground at its widest point.
  • $30 per inch for trunks less than 15" in diameter
  • $35 per inch for trunks 15" - 19" in diameter
  • $40 per inch for trunks 20" - 24" in diameter + GST
  • $45 per inch for trunks 25" - 29" in diameter
  • $50 per inch for trunks 30" - 40" in diameter
  • $60 per inch for trunks 40" or more in diameter

  *Please note: For leaf trees that must be pieced down as compared with being dropped in one piece, please multiply your removal quote by 1.5 to account for the extra work required. For example: a leaf tree costing $500 to drop and remove will instead be $750 if having to be pieced down and removed.

• Bush, shrub and hedge removal priced at $1.00/cubic foot approximated. Multiply the average height by the average width by the average length in feet, by $1.00 +GST.

Stump Grinding
-includes stump ground 8"-12" below the ground level at the stump.

For stump removal pricing, pull the tape across the stump at its widest point near the ground like so, and plug that measurement into the following rate guide. If the tree is still standing, just hold the tape straight across the trunk near the ground and eyeball the thickness on the tape from side to side as illustrated in the tree removal pricing pictures. /p>

  • $7/ inch of stump diameter measured at its widest point where it's cut off near the ground +GST.

Mulch Removal
- includes removal of stump grinding mulch pile to ground level.
